Drug Prevention Rally - Ideas for Red Ribbon Week Activities

NIMCO, Inc. Encourages Red Ribbon Week Activities

Red Ribbon Week, Red Ribbon Week Activities, Drug Prevention RallyOver the next few weeks leading up to Red Ribbon Week 2013, NIMCO will be sharing some activity ideas on our blog that teachers and community leaders can use to help students get excited about Red Ribbon Week. Many of these ideas can be incorporated in your school leading up to Red Ribbon Week.

Our seventh entry is entitled: Drug Prevention Rally

One of the best ways to get students in the Red Ribbon Week spirit is to have a drug prevention rally.

• Contest between grades for the best anti-drug chant or slogan to cheer.

• Games and Group Activities - scavenger hunt, red balloon release, Walk-A-Thon, people chain, etc.

• Use your school mascot or special Red Ribbon Week campaign mascot to participate during the drug rally to spread the message.

• Have a moment of silence to remember students who have lost their lives to drugs or substance abuse.

• Wear clothing inside out to say “Don’t Let Drugs Turn You!”

TODAY’S MESSAGE

“Don’t hurt your chances to win in school and in life. Stay drug-free!”
