Red Out - Ideas for Red Ribbon Week Activities

NIMCO, Inc. Encourages Red Ribbon Week Activities

Over the next few weeks leading up to Red Ribbon Week 2013, NIMCO will be sharing some activity ideas on our blog that teachers and community leaders can use to help students get excited about Red Ribbon Week. Many of these ideas can be incorporated in your school leading up to Red Ribbon Week.

Today starts our first entry entitled: RED OUT

Encourage students to wear as much red as possible. Wearing red is a fun way for students of all ages to show off their Red Ribbon Week pride. This gives students endless possibilities to have fun wearing silly, odd, cute, fancy or sporty apparel.

• Announce that there will be a special prize for the student wearing the most red.

• “Tie Down Drugs” - craziest tie
• “Shade Out Drugs” - sunglasses
• “Boot Out Drugs” - wear boots
• “Band Against Drugs” - headband/bandanna
• “Give Drugs the Slip” - wear slippers

TODAY’S MESSAGE

“Enjoy life by choosing the right time to be silly, funny, happy and serious.”
